ONLINE SCREENING TOOLS:

Online screening tools are meant to be a quick snapshot of your mental health.  This is not a diagnosis nor is it intended to treat a mental health issue in any way.  Please contact the Counseling Center with any questions or concerns.

Mental Health America has some great online screening tools that you can take to determine if you are struggling.  Please note: Online screening tools are meant to be a quick snapshot of your mental health. If your results indicate you may be experiencing symptoms of a mental illness, consider sharing your results with someone.  Contact the Counseling Center at tech-counseling@mail.wvu.edu to talk with a counselor and schedule and appointment.  If this is an emergency, please contact the center at 304-929-1237 to talk with an on-call counselor or dial 911.

Below are links to specific issues that many of our students face.  PsyCom is committed to connecting people concerned about their mental health with medically reviewed mental health articles and quizzes. The free quizzes allow you to take a proactive approach to your wellness. Each screening test is designed to provide anonymous and immediate feedback, and are part of the legacy of Psycom’s late founder, Dr. Ivan Goldberg: a renowned psychiatrist and clinical pharmacologist known for his development of the  Goldberg Depression Test.  Again, online screening tools are not meant to treat, and are only a snap shop of your mental health.  If you are experiencing any mental health issues please contact the counseling center to talk with a counselor.
