American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE)
The purpose of AIChE is to (1) present an opportunity for Chemical Engineering students to interact with fellow classmates, (2) provide information and experience that will further the understanding of Chemical Engineering as a career, (3) provide a link between students and future employers.

Our organization serves to get students involved and learn more about Civil Engineering through meetings, conferences and competitions. We compete against schools in West Virginia, Virginia and Washington D.C. in things such as concrete canoe and surveying. ASCE also allows students to network not just with other students but with working professionals and provides many opportunities to improve your knowledge and resume.

ASME is an organization dedicated to "knowledge sharing, career enrichment and skills development across all engineering disciplines". Our organization here at WVU Institute of Technology is to hold these ideals and provide the new generation with the necessary skills to make the future brighter.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
ACM is an organization that handles with computing and other uses of technology. We volunteer and/or participate in various events such as programming competitions. This group is always welcome for students who are interested in Computer Science, but is open to anyone.

The purpose of the biology club is to provide students with opportunities to make a difference by doing community service and volunteering. We want to help our members get more involved on campus and help them create relationships with other students, faculty and staff, and members of the community by doing fundraising events. The Biology club also wants to help students make connections with local businesses and organizations so that they will have experience and reliable relationships when they are applying for jobs after undergrad.

Fluid Power Club

The purpose of the Fluid Power Club shall be to help students learn about fluid power as they work on educational and technical projects during their study at WVU Tech. National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) supports the Fluid Power Club at WVU Tech that will be involved in fluid power activities as suggested by NFPA. Membership in the Fluid Power Club shall be open to any engineering and science students regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, creed, national origin, age or handicap. The club shall strive to encourage a diverse membership.

Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE)

Pi Tau Sigma is the International Honor Society for Mechanical Engineers. Pi Tau Sigma members are chosen on a basis of sound engineering ability, scholarship service, leadership, and integrity. SAE Aero Design
The Society of Automotive engineers Aero Design team engineers and builds an rc airplane to compete internationally each year.

SAE Baja at WVU Tech
Golden Bear Racing (SAE Baja) is a group of volunteer engineering students who design, build and compete a single-seat Baja vehicle. Each year, SAE International hosts three regional Baja competitions that are meant to expose engineering students to the real-life engineering design process and its challenges. At these international competitions, the team has competed against teams from around the US and the world. We have gotten to know teams from Canada, China, Brazil, India and Korea! The engineering experience studentâ€™s gain from the process is unparalleled.

Tau Beta Pi
Tau Beta Pi is the national engineering honor society. We'll have regular meetings, and possibly set up plant tours, study halls, and other events for aspiring engineers to attend.
